Research Area: 
Terrestrial ecosystems and biotic resources. Secondary metabolites: distribution, characteristics, biological-ecological effects, potential applications (emphasis on essential oils of aromatic plants and on phenolic compounds). Allelopathy. Ecophysiological and phytochemical variations as adaptations to different environmental regimes. Responses of species and communities to air pollutants.
